Tuesday, April 25th, 2023

Important Information:

  • National East Meets West Day

  • Attention 8th Graders, tomorrow is the deadline to turn in your permission slip forms to participate in the high school visit.

  • “Give Next students: Our meeting location today is in room 300 (Creative Foods Room).  Please be there by 2:30 today to be on time.  Thank you!”
    • “Attention ALL Kinard students: This is the final day that you can sign up to attend the Famous Author Visit with Megan Freeman.  Ms. Freeman writes youth dystopian fiction and will be here Thursday morning to do a presentation about her new, #1 best-selling book, “Alone.”   There are 50 students signed up, so there are just 10 seats left.  If you would like to attend, please see Mrs. Grigg today in the GT Office, room 306, for more information and to sign up.”

  • ATTENTION 7th Graders!   If you are thinking about going to college and are wondering what it would be like, there’s an opportunity for you to find out.  On May 2nd, 20 students from Kinard will take a bus to Colorado State University for a tour of the campus, hear about the pathway to college, eat lunch, and learn from CSU staff and athletes.  The bus will return to Kinard in time for ELO.  If you’re interested, come to Student Services to pick up the brief application and flier.  Applications are due Monday, April 24th.   If more than 20 students apply, students will be selected randomly through a lottery system.

  • This Thursday will be Popcorn Thursday during lunch so please remember to wear your Kinard gear to school. PE Kinard clothes and sharing of Kinard gear will not get you popcorn.

  • The Kinard GL want to remind you about the pie in the face fundraiser. During lunch they will be collecting money from students to help raise money for water for South Sudan. Remember only 2 out of 4 from each grade level get pied, so if you want a teacher to get pied, then make sure they have the most money. The more tickets you buy the more likely YOU will get to pie the teacher you want.

  • This Friday everything in the LOST & FOUND will be donated so please be sure to swing by the LOST & FOUND and check for anything you may have misplaced before this Friday.
