Important Information:
- National Read a Book Day! Come down to the media center today to check out your new favorite book!
- ATTENTION all students in GT and all ELO Teachers:
Starting Today through Friday September 15, the students in Kinard’s GT Program will be meeting in groups with Mrs. Grigg one time during ELO for a GT/ALP Launch session. This required meeting will kick off the school year in Kinard GT, and students will receive important information for selecting ALP goals. ELO Teachers, please see an email from Mrs. Grigg today with the link to the ALP Launch schedule for your class roster of students in GT who need to attend. Students, please check in with your ELO teacher for your date and location to attend the GT/ALP Launch. For any questions, please email Mrs. Grigg or stop by the GT office, room 306, downstairs orange pod. See you soon!
- On Thursday, September 7th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Kinard will be hosting our annual Welcome Wagon(s) and Wellness Fair. A variety of food trucks will be available and then come learn about some healthy lifestyle choices that help promote physical and mental well-being.
- LOST & FOUND is located in the main front office. Please come by and check out the LOST & FOUND to see if you are missing anything that is on display. Everything that is not claimed in the LOST & FOUND will be donated this Friday.
Clubs:
- Fitness Club starts next Monday, September 11th, and is every Monday and Wednesday after school until 4pm. Fitness Club is for students that would like to get in shape using weightlifting and cardio equipment. If you are interested in participating in Fitness Club, come see Mr. Rollings in Room 312 this week for more information. He’s in the downstairs orange locker bay and can help you to sign up for Fitness Club!
Athletics:
- Congratulations to our football teams and boys tennis teams for their WINS yesterday! We are proud of you!
- Our varsity volleyball team plays today at Webber and those athletes and managers are released at 1:40. The C1 and C2 teams play here at home and those athletes and managers are released at 2:30.
- The girls tennis team has matches today at City Park. Those athletes are released from class at 2:25.
