Important Information:
- Were you absent last Tuesday and missed our school picture day? Then we have good news for you! Tomorrow, Friday, August 30 we will have a make-up picture day for anyone who wasn’t able to have their picture taken last week. If that is you, please plan to arrive at school a little early tomorrow. You can enter the building starting at 7:30 AM and go to the Media Center to have your picture taken. We hope to have all make-up pictures complete before classes start at 8:15. Tomorrow is only for those who didn’t have a photo taken last Tuesday. We will have a different day in October if you want a re-take of your first picture.
- Attention ALL students in the Kinard GT Program: Next week all students in GT have a required grade level meeting in the Media Center during ELO. Next week, your ELO teacher will have a list of names and will dismiss you right after 2:30 to go to the Media Center to meet with Mrs. Grigg. Please make a reminder to bring your laptop and arrive quickly so you can learn about the awesome new options for ALP Goals!
~ 7th graders in GT meet Tuesday, September 3rd
~ 6th graders in GT meet Wednesday, September 4th
~ 8th graders in GT meet Thursday, September 5th
Note: if you are in GT and in a specialized ELO, your ELO teacher will tell you whether you come to your GT/ALP meeting on Tuesday or Thursday next week!
Clubs:
- Are you interested in joining either Robotics or Science Olympiad this year? Mr. Berthold and Mrs. Murphy will be holding a joint interest meeting to explain both of the clubs during ELO next Wednesday, September 4th. On Wednesday, first go to your regular ELO for attendance, then come to room 510 (Mr. Berthold’s room) for the meeting at 2:40 PM.
Athletic:
- Today our boys tennis team kicks off their season with a scrimmage vs Lesher at Edora park. Players should be released from class at 1:20 and will load the bus at 1:40
Good luck to our Mustang boys tennis team!!
- Our girls volleyball teams and our girls tennis team played well in their scrimmages and will start their first official matches next week.
- Our football team played a tough Timnath team and came up short this time. Their next game is against Blevins on Tuesday.
