Important Information:
- The Jewish holiday Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown today and ends after nightfall on Friday, October 4th. Rosh Hashanah marks the start of the Jewish New Year and is one of the most important holidays in Judaism. It’s observed over two days, beginning at sundown on the first day, with candle lighting, special meals, sweet foods, and reflective prayer services. Whether practiced by those with deep religious faith or more secular traditions, this holiday offers a time of renewal and reflection. We are sharing this information to honor our Kinard students who celebrate Rosh Hashanah, and we will continue to highlight important celebrations, observances, and months that bring awareness to specific groups or causes as part of our work to be an inclusive community.
- October is Futures Month! Did you notice today how many people are wearing college shirts? If there is a school you are not familiar with, don’t be afraid to ask where it is located and what their school mascot is.
Every Wednesday is College Gear Day! Wear your favorite gear every week!
