Daily Announcements

Important Information:

 

  • There will be an early dismissal today at 1:10pm
  • Don’t forget to come to Kinard’s Welcome Wagon event tonight at 6:30pm. This is an opportunity for students, families, and staff to come together to build connections and community with food, friends, and fun. Bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy food from seven food trucks. Plan on gathering in the Kinard courtyard and athletic fields from 6:30-7:45pm.
  • ATTENTION STUDENTS IN KINARD’S GIFTED AND TALENTED PROGRAM: Tomorrow, Friday, September 9th, all students in Kinard’s GT Program will be meeting during lunch in the media center to kick off the year. This is a required meeting with Mrs. Grigg, Kinard’s GT Coordinator.  Don’t forget to bring a sack lunch, dessert will be provided. Students will be doing fun activities as they learn about the awesome year ahead in GT!   Please see Mrs. Grigg in the GT office, room 306, downstairs orange pod, for any questions.  See you on September 9th!
  • There are two more days for the Lunchroom Challenge in earning Otter Pops. Who wouldn’t want Otter Pops on a nice hot day. So far 6th Grade is in the lead. 7th Grade don’t give up, you can still win. This would be a good opportunity to use Kinard’s Character Challenge to demonstrate positivity and kindness and help make sure the lunchroom is clean.





 

Clubs:

  • Fitness Club starts next Monday, September 12th, every Monday and Wednesday after school until 4pm. See Mr. Rollings in Room 312 for more information.
  • MathCounts starts next Tuesday, September 13th. We will meet in the media center from 3:15-4:15. You do not need to sign up, but you can see Ms. Bonertz in the office or at lunch if you have any questions or need more information.





 

Athletics:

 

Lunch/Rec Time -   Students, please do not set down your phones or other valuable items during lunch or lunch rec time.  Items can easily be picked up by mistake, a friend may decide to play a “joke” on you, or someone may walk off with your item.  Please, Please keep track of your valuables.  If you plan to participate in activities during lunch rec time, it is recommended to store your valuables in your locker. Kindard is not responsible for your lost items.   







 

Menu:

Today for lunch is Beef & Bean Burrito, Taco Salad, or Pepperoni Pizza. A Breakfast Round will be served for breakfast tomorrow.
