The student must check out at the attendance office.   If returning, the student must check in with the attendance office for an entry pass. If the student is leaving with an adult that is not their parent, guardian, or listed on their emergency contact list, the attendance office needs a permission slip.

Pre-Arranged Absences – When a parent/guardian knows in advance that a student will be absent, notify the attendance office with the dates and reason for the absence. The student will be provided a Learning Link when missing 3 or more days of schools.  This link will be sent to the student and parent emails.

Late Arrivals /Tardiness – Punctuality is a valuable life skill. Kinard students are expected to be on time. Any student who is late for school must report to the attendance office to receive a class entry pass. In order to receive an excused tardy pass, a student must have a signed written note, or a phone call from the parent/guardian indicating the reason for the late arrival. If you have called in or the student has a note, they can sign themselves in.
