About Me

Chris Bergmann is an Assistant Principal and also leads the Kinard C.A.R.E.S. environmental leadership group at Kinard Middle School. Before entering administration, Chris spent eight years teaching science at Kinard and one-year teaching physics and earth science in the Jefferson County School District at Wheat Ridge High School.  Chris has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Natural Sciences from Colorado State University. He most recently completed his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from CSU. Outside of school, Chris enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife Angela have lived in Fort Collins for over ten years. His time at home is spent chasing in the footsteps of his curious and energetic daughters Aubrey and Kendall. Chris is a Colorado native who grew up in the rural town of Craig, Colorado. He was raised in a family of educators. Both his mom and dad committed their careers to public education. When Chris is not on the job at Kinard, he enjoys spending time outside in beautiful Colorado. He likes hiking, camping, fishing and traveling. He also enjoys playing sports, strumming his guitar, writing/producing music, traveling, exploring new technologies, spending time with his dogs, and still finding ways to celebrate the fact that the Chicago Cubs actually won the World Series!  Chris is committed to helping all students and staff at Kinard strive to reach their maximum potential.
