Important Information:

  • National Gingerbread House Day!

 

  • As the end of the semester approaches, you will likely have some upcoming formatives and summative assessments. And grades will be finalized at the end of the semester. What are you working on now and how are you planning ahead to ensure a successful end of the semester in all your classes?
    • Challenge: Show initiative and put first things first by intentionally preparing for your upcoming formatives and summatives. Be sure you have no missing assignments and all work is turned in prior to the end of the semester.

 

  • “Congratulations to the following Symphonic Band students that have been selected to perform with the CU Honor Band by blind audition: Joey Wheeler, Emmett Lignell, David Decrosta, Addi Luster, Vishwa Gurumurthy, Tyler Krupicka, Cord Anderson, Porter Land, and Cole Woodward! These 9 students will perform with the top middle school musicians in the state in February. Congratulations!”

 

  • NaNoWriMo club finished strong with 243,257 collective words written. This club worked so hard to meet their writing goals and they have a lot to be proud of.  We have such a strong community of writers here at Kinard. Congratulations writers! 

 

  • HELLO Kinard!  This Thursday will be laptop charger check in during first period!  That is right, you will need to have your charger with you THIS Thursday during your first period class.  Have you misplaced your laptop charger this semester?   No problem!  Just plan to bring in the $27 replacement fee on Thursday.

 

  • If you are interested in being part of Kinard’s morning announcements, please stop by Student Services office and talk to Mrs. Beecher during the beginning of ELO. The deadline to sign up is this Friday, December 16th. 

 

 

Clubs:

  • Fitness club is after school today in the small gym from 3:15-4pm.
  • Math counts club is tomorrow in the Media Center from 3:15-4:15pm.
  • Running club is also tomorrow outside from 3:15-4pm.

 

Athletics:

  • Our fantastic boys basketball teams play Lincoln today!  Varsity and JV teams play at LIncoln and will be released at 1:30.  Our C1 and C2 teams play here at Kinard and will be released at 2:30.

 

Menu:

  • Today the lunch options are:
    • Pizza bites
    • Tomato soup and grilled cheese
    • Chicken caesar wrap
  • Served for breakfast tomorrow is an egg and bacon burrito
