- National Sports Day
- October is Futures Month: Take time to think about what you like to do and how that might fit into a career someday. Answer this question, if you could have any job right now what would it be and why? The best career choices are usually ones that match your interests and abilities.
- Got Scavenger Hunt skills?
- As part of Kinard’s Futures month, all students are invited to participate in a Scavenger Hunt about colleges. To play, scan the QR code on the Scavenger Hunt posters found in the hallways, or go to Student Services to get a hard-copy. Find the answers by using the map outside of Student Services and by talking to teachers. Answer forms are due by this Thursday’s lunchtime, and can be submitted on-line or by turning in a hard-copy to the Student Services office. Prizes will be awarded to the 5 contestants with the most correct answers. The hunt starts today--may the best scavenger win!
- “Hey Mustangs, if you bike, skateboard, or ride anything with wheels to school, please be sure to dismount and walk your bike or skateboard when you get close to the school. You should walk your bike or skateboard anywhere in our front yard, where it is crowded with people in the morning and afternoons. Once you get to the bike racks, you must get off. If you bring your skateboard into the building, be sure to walk it in and don’t ride it please. Thank you for doing your part to be respectful of others and to keep everyone safe.”
- Please check the LOST & FOUND this week before the three day weekend as everything will be donated that hasn’t been claimed.
Clubs:
- Fitness Club is today from 3:15 - 4pm in the weight room.
- Baking Club is also today from 3:15 - 4:15pm in Room 300.
- There will be no Math Counts on Tuesday due to parent-teacher conferences. See you next week!
- "National Novel Writing Month Club, also known as NaNoWriMo, is Happening this Fall! Our first meeting takes place Thursday, October 26th, 3:10 PM-4:00 PM in Mr. Yacobucci’s Room (416). After the first meeting, we will meet every Thursday in November after school. See Mr. Yacobucci if you have any questions. LET THE WRITING BEGIN!"
