We are looking forward to meeting you and sharing information about Kinard at our Back to School Night, next Tuesday, August 23rd. Please see below for a detailed outline and overview of the event. Schedule & Timeline- Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time for parking and entry!
6th grade or families new to Kinard- We invite you to attend a welcome session beginning at 5:45 p.m. We suggest arriving by 5:30 p.m. if you need to pick up a copy of your child’s schedule. Alternatively, you can print a schedule or access your child’s schedule online through ParentVUE prior to the event.
7th and 8th grades- Parents of 7th and 8th grade students may begin to arrive by 6:00 p.m. if you need to pick up a copy of your child’s schedule. Alternatively, you can print a schedule or access your child’s schedule online through ParentVUE prior to the event. The first class rotation will begin at 6:20 p.m.

Overview of the Event
The purpose of Back to School Night is to provide parents with insight into your child’s daily schedule and classroom routines. This is a great opportunity for parents to meet teachers, ask questions, tour classrooms, and learn about a variety of school resources to support your child’s learning throughout the year. We have designed the evening to focus on a parent audience. We encourage students to stay at home so that parents can authentically engage with our staff. Limiting the number of students also helps to accommodate the appropriate volume of people who are occupying our facility and classrooms.
Parking
Please plan on coming a few minutes early for parking and to pick up your schedule for the evening. Both front and back lots, including the overflow parking in the north field, will be open. You may also park along East Trilby and Ziegler Roads. Please keep our north and south ovals free of cars to allow for emergency vehicles. We appreciate you parking in the designated areas to keep everyone safe. We also encourage walking, biking, or carpooling to the event!

Entry into the Event
We are expecting all parents to enter through the music doors on the south side of the building regardless of where you are parked. This helps to secure our site, as well as provide a common checkpoint for parents to pick up necessary information for the evening.
