Important Information:

  • Kinard’s Character Challenge:
    • The definition of curious is “marked by desire to investigate and learn.” Being curious keeps you interested AND makes you interesting.  It is a surefire way to beat boredom!
    • Challenge: How can you be curious about something new? What is something you are interested in learning about? How can you go about learning something new?  This week’s challenge is to find something you are curious about and share it with an adult in the building. Also consider how you might learn more about that topic – it doesn’t have to be through formal study but could be by researching on the internet, asking someone who might know more about the topic, or reading a book.

  • We are loving all those fun costumes everyone is wearing today! A reminder that tomorrow is Pajama Day so you can wear comfy, cozy pjs to school on Tuesday. Please remember that you should still follow PSD dress policy and you need to wear shoes or slippers that have rubber soles.

  • Thanks to all the staff and students who have participated in Futures Month.  We have had a great time learning about everyone’s interests and career goals.  Remember to keep the conversations going with Ms. Irvine, Mrs. Young, teachers, and your parents about your ICAP and future plan

Clubs:

  • Fitness club is today after school until 4pm in the small gym.
  • Math Counts is tomorrow in the Media Center from 3:15pm-4:15pm.

    • There will be a meeting this Wednesday in room 510, Mr. McGonagil’s room, during ELO to select competition teams and fill the holes in our team selections for the events.  This meeting is vital to getting on the team you want and also making sure you are in the events you want, so please plan to attend. Also keep checking your emails for communication from your event coaches as to when your practices are. Practices should be starting this week with the first Science Night on Thursday, November 10th.
