Erin LaRue is in her tenth year as an assistant principal at Kinard Core Knowledge Middle School. Erin has been part of the Kinard family for eighteen years as she was previously a Spanish teacher and Academic Dean at Kinard. Erin is a native of Fort Collins and a proud alum of Poudre School District. Before coming to Kinard, she graduated summa cum laude from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Additionally, during her university studies, Erin spent six months in Spain learning about the Spanish language and culture at the Universidad de Granada. Outside of school, Erin enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has three kids, ages 9, 5, and 2, who keep her busy and laughing! When Erin is not at school, she enjoys reading, traveling, walking her dog, scuba diving, hiking, biking and being outdoors. Erin feels she was destined to be a educator. When she was little, she dedicated an entire room in her basement as her “school” and frequently assigned “homework” to her younger siblings, pets, and stuffed animals. She is highly dedicated to forming strong relationships with the Kinard students and staff. Her greatest joy is promoting lifelong learning and making school a place where everyone can reach their greatest potential.
