About Me

Education and Professional Background:

Mr. Berthold has a passion for teaching all things technology related. He has a bachelor's degree in Business\Computer Science Education from Illinois State University. Berthold is a certified Project Lead The Way instructor in Intro to Engineering, Principles of Engineering, and Aerospace Engineering. He has had the opportunity to serve in many different roles as an educator. Mr. Berthold has worked as an educational technology coach, information technology director, cross country coach, track coach, and has taught courses in business, computer science, engineering, and robotics.  He is excited to work with all the wonderful students, families, and staff at Kinard MS. 

Personal Interests and Hobbies:

When Mr. Berthold is not teaching technology or coaching distance runners, Mr. Berthold loves spending time with his wife (Bridget), daughter (Marley), and three dogs. His family enjoys camping, skiing, and being outside as much as possible. Some of his other interests/hobbies include; trail running, watching Denver Broncos & Nuggets, and playing an occasional video game.
