Important Information:

  • We are loving those crazy, ugly holiday sweaters today! Tomorrow is Cozy Flannel Day, so dress in some flannel for a warm, snuggly day.
  • The Kinard Winter Read-a-Thon will run December 18th -January 3rd! For every one hour you read over the winter break, you can enter your name in a drawing to win fun prizes once returning to school! All entries are due in the Media Center Friday, January 7th by the end of the school day. The winners will be announced during the morning announcements on Monday, January 10th. Cozy up with a great book and win prizes!

 

  • Please stop by our lost and found to claim any items that you have left here at school.  Items not claimed by this Friday will be donated. 

  • The PE department is selling Diabolos (Chinese Yo-Yos) until Friday. Please see Mr. Anaya or Mrs. Jordan before or after school to purchase yours before winter break! They are $20 each. 

Sports:

  • Congratulations to our Boys Basketball teams!  Our 8th grade boys are playing Lesher, at Lesher, tomorrow after school for 3rd place in PSD.  Our 7th grade team is playing Webber at Fossil Ridge High School at 6:15 to be crowned district champions!  Let’s pack the Fossil gym with Mustangs to cheer our 7th grade team to victory!  Again, tomorrow night at 6:15 in the Fossil gym!  GOOOOOOOO Mustangs!!

  • Basketball for 7th and 8th grade girls as well as 7th and 8th grade wrestling starts right after the holiday break.  There are three steps you will need to take in order to participate;  register on sports engine, have a current physical on file and pay your $120 fee.  An email to parents will go out today that explains these steps in detail.  When all three steps are complete you will receive an ORANGE ticket which is your ticket to participate.  See Mrs. Arnold with any questions.

Clubs:

  • MathCounts members!  MathCounts is not meeting today. 

Menu:

  • Today for lunch we are serving cheese calzone and marinara, buffalo chicken wrap or cheeseburger.  Tomorrow for breakfast we will serve mini cinnamon rolls.
