Important Information:

  • We are halfway through our Mustang Spirit Week and are loving seeing your spirit gear each day! You have 2 more days to participate. Tomorrow is Pajama Day, so put on your coziest, winter jammies for a relaxing end to the semester. Please remember that you should still follow PSD dress policy and you need to wear shoes or slippers that have rubber soles.

  • The Kinard Winter Read-a-Thon starts Saturday and runs through January 3rd! For every one hour you read over the winter break, you can enter your name in a drawing to win fun prizes once returning to school! All entries are due in the Media Center Friday, January 7th by the end of the school day. The winners will be announced during the morning announcements on Monday, January 10th.

  • Do you enjoy Morning Fresh dairy products? Please save your milk bottle caps and bring them to school to benefit our Orchestra!   Morning Fresh will give us money back for every cap we return to them. You can drop off your Morning Fresh milk caps in the Orchestra room or in the front office.

  • Kinard!  Please stop by the lost and found table today located outside the main office.  On FRIDAY everything left on that table will be donated. 

  • The PE department is selling Diabolos (Chinese Yo-Yos) until Friday. Please see Mr. Anaya or Mrs. Jordan before or after school to purchase yours before winter break! They are $20 each. 

Clubs:

  • Fitness Club meets in the small gym today from 3:15-4:00.

  • Science Bowl will meet in Mrs. Tracy’s room, room 526, tomorrow morning at 7:15. 

Sports:

  • Congratulations to our Boys Basketball teams!  Our 8th grade boys are playing Lesher, at Lesher, today after school for 3rd place in PSD.  Those 8th grade athletes will be released at 2:00.  Our 7th grade team is playing Webber at Fossil Ridge High School at 6:15 to be crowned district champions!  Let’s pack the Fossil gym with Mustangs to cheer our 7th grade team to victory!  Again, TONIGHT at 6:15 in the Fossil gym!  GOOOOOOOO Mustangs!!

  • Basketball for 7th and 8th grade girls as well as 7th and 8th grade wrestling starts right after the holiday break.  There are three steps you will need to take in order to participate; register on sports engine, have a current physical on file and pay your $120 fee.  An email to parents will go out today that explains these steps in detail.  When all three steps are complete you will receive an ORANGE ticket which is your ticket to participate.  See Mrs. Arnold with any questions.

Menu:

  • Today for lunch we are serving pulled bbq chicken, turkey club wrap or spicy chicken sandwich.  Tomorrow for breakfast we will serve a bagel and crème cheese.
