Important Information:

  • October is Futures Month! Today is College Colors Day-Find a teacher today that is wearing a college shirt and ask them one question about why they like that school.  Some will mention sports, some will talk of a personal connection or classes they took that made an impact.

 

Clubs:

  • The Social Justice Service Learning Team will meet today during ELO at 2:35 in the Media Center.
  • Science Olympiad is meeting today, Wednesday during ELO. We will be examining the current student to event placements, initial-drafted team rosters, an overview about how coach "picks" work and opening event spots that need volunteers. If you are comfortable navigating this information on your own-attendance is not required.
  • The Give Next Club will meet today after school from 3:15-4:00 in the Media Center .  
  • Visual and Literary Arts Club will be meeting tomorrow, Thursday 3:15-4:30 in Rm 516-Mrs. Van Huss Willis’ room.
  • A new student-led club is starting soon-Baking Club!  This club will allow students to show their baking talent.  For anyone that is interested, Baking Club’s first meeting is on Monday, October 14th and will meet every Monday and Thursday from 3:15 until 4:30 after that in room 300!

 

Athletics

  • Our Girls Volleyball Varsity Team is headed to the district championship today! The game starts at 6:30 PM in the Fossil Ridge High School Gym. Everyone is invited to come cheer our girls on!
  • Cross Country has the district championship meet tomorrow at Spring Canyon Park, release runners at 1:10 and load bus at 1:30
  • Boys Football wrapped up their season yesterday, the varsity boys won, ending the year on a positive. JV played well and had a lead, but couldn’t quite hold on to it. Great season football players.
  • This Friday, we will celebrate all of our Fall athletes with a parade of champions! All students who participated in athletics this fall will report to the gym at the end of 8th period. At the start of ELO all classes will step into the hallway and cheer on our athletes as they walk a lap through the building.

    • Thai Meatballs
    • Rice or Soba Noodles
    • Pizza Bites
    • Ham or Turkey and Cheese Sandwich

 

  • Served for breakfast tomorrow will be Breakfast Sausage Pizza
