- October is Futures Month! What do you love to do? The people that are the happiest in their jobs are those that have chosen a career they truly enjoy. Think about the classes that are your favorites, there may be careers related to that subject area.
Take a photo of you and a teacher today with college gear on and email it to Mrs. Young or Ms. Irvine and you will be entered into a drawing for a prize!
- To celebrate everyone’s first quarter accomplishments and to have a little fun, we’re going to be hosting a Mustang Spirit Week starting on Monday, October 28th. Each day will be a different spirit celebration to allow everyone a chance to have fun and express themselves. Please remember that PSD dress policy must be followed on all spirit days.
- Monday, October 28th will be Mustang Colors Day, where each grade level wears a different color (6th grade wear white, 7th grade wear red, 8th grade wear blue).
- Tuesday, October 29th will be Neon Day, so wear the brightest, most colorful outfit you can.
- Wednesday, October 30th will be Sports Team and College Colors Day, so wear gear or a jersey to represent your favorite pro team, a team that you play on, or your favorite college.
- Thursday, October 31st will be Dress Up Day, where you can wear a school-appropriate costume to school.
- And Friday, November 1st will be Pajama Day.

Clubs:
- Science Olympiad will be having a meeting today during ELO at 2:40 in Room 526. We will examine the open events and try to get them covered as well as discuss student expectations and snack options for the upcoming Science Night on Oct. 24th.
- Are you interested in learning advanced science and math? Would you like to use your knowledge to compete with other middle schools in Colorado and across the United States? Join Science Bowl! We meet every Wednesday, starting today from 3:15-4:30 in Ms. Eitsert’s Room (Room 313). Hope to see you there!
- We have another student-led club that will start this week! Dungeons and Dragons Club meets after school on Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:30 in Mr. Costello’s room (#416). If you’re interested in learning about Dungeons and Dragons, come check out the club tomorrow after school!
- The Social Justice Service Learning Team will be meeting today during ELO at 2:35 in the Media Center.
- The Give Next Club will meet today after school from 3:15 to 4:00 in the Media Center.
- Our student-led Baking Club meets tomorrow, Thursday from 3:15 until 4:30 in Room 300
- Our student-led Visual and Literary Arts Club will have a meeting tomorrow, Thursday from 3:15 to 4:30 in Rm 516.
Athletics:
- Reminder to all Boys Basketball Players! Tryouts continue today! Good luck!!
- Attention all Football Players and Boys Cross Country athletes. The PE team will be doing locker check-in or locker switches to small lockers today in ELO. Please check in with your ELO teacher and then come to the boys’ locker room at 2:35 pm to check out of your athletic locker. If you are unable to come during ELO today, please see a PE teacher during ELO before this Friday!
