  • Attention 8th graders!  High school registration forms are due today.  Each high school will have a counselors here to meet with you individually.  You will receive a ticket with a specific time to come to the Media Center to see the high school counselors.  Bring your registration form with you.

Important Information:

  • Applications for Unified basketball and Unified PE are now available in Student

Services.  The goal of these programs is to provide an opportunity for participants to share a team experience, to grow as individuals and engage in fun while working with students with disabilities.  Unified PE is open to current 7th graders and Unified basketball is open to all grade levels.  Applications are due March 4th. See Mr. Anaya, Ms. Irvine, or Mrs. Dietz with questions

Important Information:

  • Our Kinard National Junior Honor Society fundraiser for the students impacted by the Marshall fires at Monarch High School was a HUGE success! If you and your family signed up to donate, please drop those donations in the box outside of the main office or in room 505.  Last day for donations to be turned in is TOMORROW. Please see Mrs. Hergenreder or Mrs. Arnold with questions.

Important Information:

  • Your weekly character challenge is here!  Taking risks can be scary:  however, taking reasonable risks is part of life.  Applying for a new class, trying a new hobby or making a new friend can feel risky but also can have great rewards.  And healthy risk taking can help you build confidence, responsibility, social skills and decision-making abilities.

  • Starting Tuesday, February 22nd we will transition to using our traditional cafeteria set up, which means that we will not use the auxiliary gym for additional lunchroom seating. Also, this means that we will no longer ask students to complete seating charts, nor will we limit seating to 4 students to a table.

  • Our weekly character challenge is here!  Valuing our differences and appreciating every individual for their own unique contributions is the key to synergy.

Challenge:  As we experience some new changes in our building this week, show dignity and respect to all.  Celebrate, acknowledge, or appreciate that our differences make us better and that it is ok for someone to have a different opinion, belief, or choice than you.
