Daily Announcements

Important Information:

  • National Opposite Day
  • Attention 6th and 7th graders: today is the last day to turn in your registration forms into the Student Services office. 
  • Hey 7th graders! On Friday morning, you will come to the media center with your 2nd period class to get your vision and hearing screened. WOO HOO! Please remember to wear or bring your glasses or contacts that day AND thanks for being quiet in the media center that morning – this helps our volunteers so much.
  • Attention Talented Mustangs!  It’s not too late to sign up to audition for this year’s live talent show.  Audition slots are still available, so put your name on the sign up sheet outside room 311.  The last day to audition is TODAY, which is also the last day to submit a video act as well.  The list of selected acts will be posted after school outside room 311 on Friday.  See Mr. Graham with any questions.

 

  • Laptop Safety Class
    • A laptop safety class is being held today in the media center during lunch. Students who have incurred damage to their laptops and have not yet attended this class will receive a pass to attend today.  Students will leave their belongings in their lockers or classroom and bring their lunch to the media center.  

 

  • An announcement from your friendly neighborhood Spider Man… I mean, the Yearbook team. If you have yet to buy your yearbook, make sure that you buy it by tomorrow, January 27, otherwise, we cannot guarantee your purchase. This is also the last time to get your yearbook personalized! You can go to Jostens.com to order, or you can scan the QR codes around the school.

 

  • Mustang Friday
    • Hey Kinard! We are so excited to bring back our tradition of Mustang Friday and popcorn at lunch! We want to promote our school spirit and our pride in being Mustangs. So be sure to wear a Kinard shirt on Fridays. And as a special bonus, on the last Friday of the month, you will get free popcorn at lunch if you are rocking Kinard gear. That is this Friday- so be sure to put on a Kinard shirt, either from a sport or club you’ve been a part of or the shirt you got in 6th grade. Hooray  for Mustang Fridays!

 

Clubs:

  • Fitness club is today after school until 4pm in the small Gym. 
  • STEM club and Running club are tomorrow.

 

Athletics:

  • Today our girls basketball teams will have a scrimmage with Preston.  Our C team will play at Preston and are released at 1:55.  The varsity and jv team will be at home and will be released at 2:30.  Let’s GO Mustangs!

Menu:

  • Today the lunch options are:
    • Sweet & Sour chicken or beef
    • Ham or turkey and cheese sandwich
    • Hawaiian pizza
  • Served for breakfast tomorrow are french toast sticks.
