Important Information:

  • Welcome back Students and Staff. I hope you had a well rested break and are ready to start the New Year with a fresh start of new perspectives and new goals for the remainder of the school year.

 

  • National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
    • Today is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Say “thank you” to Officer Garcia and other officers who work to keep us safe every day.

 

  • The Kinard Winter Read-A-Thon entries are now being taken in the Media Center.  For every hour you read over winter break you get one entry to WIN a prize!  More hours…more entries!   We are giving away books, posters and fun gifts!  Enter to win by this Thursday during ELO;  winners are announced Friday!  

 

Clubs:

  • Diabolo Club is also today from 3:15 - 3:45 pm in the Cafeteria.
  • Fitness Club and STEM Club are tomorrow.

 

Athletics:

  • The Kinard winter sports optional preseason camps begin today!  

Girls basketball preseason camp will be held in the Kinard main gym through Friday from 3:30 - 5:30 for 7th and 8th graders. Basketball tryouts are next week;  more information on that later this week.   

The wrestling preseason camp also starts today and is open to all 6th,7th or 8th grade students.  The wrestling camp is held from 3:30-5:30 in the small gym every day this week.  Wrestling is a non-cut sport and team practice begins next Tuesday, January 16th.   

Here is the IMPORTANT part of optional preseason camps;  you MUST have a current sports physical on file with Mrs. Arnold to participate.  If you have questions about your sports physical, please see Mrs. Arnold today.

    • Cheese Ravioli & Roll
    • Club Sandwich
  • Served for breakfast tomorrow is an egg, cheese & bacon breakfast burrito.
